Hello and welcome to the new website. We have had many challenges this year so I send my warmest wishes to you and hope you remain safe and well.

I’d like to mention our much loved Independent and High Street book shops. My local is GULLIVER’S BOOKSHOP in Wimborne, Dorset, who have a joyful Christmas window. To me, bookshops are the highlight of a wander around town, along with a stop for tea and cake. When you are buying books, please would you consider your local book shop first. If they are closed for browsing, many will still be offering local deliveries and a postal service, and may also be able to offer some signed bookplates, which will make that purchase even more special. My new book THE GOOD BEAR is available at many Independent bookstores along with signed bookplates, and, if you’re lucky, a free tote bag too! It would be good to know when we are freely able to wander around our towns and cities again that our wonderful bookshops will still be with us. Please support them if you can, enjoy browsing and talking to the booksellers to help you choose, and if your love of books is bigger than the depth of your pocket, don’t forget our local libraries need support too.
